How to book a session at Tilly White

When should I Book for?

Maternity:

I recommend around 30 weeks, give and take a couple of weeks either side depending on how you are feeling within yourself! This tends to be when mum is feeling her best!!

Newborn:

To achieve the curled up, sleepy poses it’s ideal for your baby to be photographed between 4-14 days old. This may seem super early, however, they develop so quickly. If you want me to capture that fresh newborn memory, book in nice and early – ideally after your 20 week scan.
At this point, I would take all of your necessary details including your due date, which will be entered into my booking system. I take a £50 deposit payment to secure your booking and guarentee your baby a session within their first 14 days.
I simply ask you to let me know once baby has arrived, where we will then discuss a session date. I usually message you around your due date just to check-in, as I know it can slip new parents minds.

Mini Sessions & Cake Smash

My Mini sessions run for any age including full family sessions. If you are looking for a Sitter Session this is best around 6 months (or once baby is sitting stably on their own), otherwise, feel free to book in at a time which works well for you…..a birthday, a milestone, or just for some updated images.

I can also run Cake Smash sessions for any age, however my most popular is for babies 1st birthday. I give the option for the session to take place either a couple of weeks prior to their birthday (so that you have the images back in time), or around the birthday if the session is just generally to celebrate baby turning 1!!!

Timing tips!!!

Newborn

My usual session time for a newborn is 10:30am. I find this allows parents time to get up and out. For most clients this may be their first outing which I am more than conscious of. It also works well with traffic.

If you can make sure baby is ready for a feed when you arrive at your session. If this is not possible please be prepared with a top up feed. If it is possible to keep them awake for a couple of hours before your session too, that would be super! Sessions can run anything from 1.5-3 hours, which means you should be finished in time for lunch, and with plenty of the day left.

Other

I am really flexible with session times, I usually only tend to book 1-2 sessions in per day for this reason. Babies and toddlers nap and eat at different times and I always ask parents to take this into consideration before their choose their time. Again though, around 10:30am usually works best.

If you are wanting a Saturday or half term Session, please please enquire asap as they are like gold dust!!!
